Amed Jukung Snorkeling runs four trip options from Amed, East Bali: the Sunrise Snorkeling Tour (before dawn), the Amed Snorkeling Tour by Jukung (morning), the Golden Sunset Tour (sunset), and a flexible Custom Trip planned with your guide. The three fixed trips visit the Japanese Shipwreck, Lipah Bay and Jemeluk Bay, including mask, snorkel, fins, boat and captain: the Amed Snorkeling Tour by Jukung is 300,000 IDR per person, and the Sunrise Snorkeling Tour and Golden Sunset Tour are 350,000 IDR per person. A local guide can be added to any fixed trip for an extra 150,000 IDR per trip, and hotel pickup and drop-off in the Amed area is 250,000 IDR per car for up to 5 guests. Each trip runs with 2 to 5 guests per boat. The Custom Trip always includes a local guide who adjusts the route by weather and sea conditions, with optional traditional handline fishing; price is discussed directly.

About the trip
A working fishing boat, not a tour bus of the sea
The jukung is the same outrigger boat Amed's fishermen have used for generations — narrow, low to the water, and small enough to reach reefs a bigger boat can't get close to.
The Sunrise Snorkeling Tour, Amed Snorkeling Tour by Jukung and Golden Sunset Tour all run with a local captain, 2 to 5 guests per boat, so the pace stays unhurried and the group stays small enough to actually follow. A local guide can be added to any of these trips for an extra 150,000 IDR per trip, and is always included on the Custom Trip. Hotel pickup and drop-off in the Amed area can be added to any trip for 250,000 IDR per car, up to 5 guests.

What snorkeling spots are included in the trip?

Do you offer hotel pickup?
Yes. We pick up and drop off at hotels in the Amed area for 250,000 IDR per car, return trip included, for up to 5 guests. Just tell us your hotel when you book on WhatsApp.
What is the difference between the morning and sunset trip?
Both visit the same three spots. The morning trip goes out in calm early light with the best underwater visibility; the sunset trip times the return to the shipwreck for golden hour.
Do I need snorkeling experience?
No experience is needed. Guides brief every guest before entering the water and stay close throughout.
Can the route be flexible?
Yes. The Custom Trip is planned together with your guide on the day, who can suggest spots based on current sea conditions and weather. It can also include traditional handline fishing. Price is discussed directly since the route and duration vary.
